The primary purpose of the Geriatric Science Association is to facilitate collaboration in healthcare professionals with an interest in geriatrics and individuals who aspire to contribute to geriatric and gerontology in our country, which will enable a comprehensive understanding and formulation of effective action plans.
In addition, the main goal is to gain the position and productivity that the discipline deserves in our country, which will be achieved by the motivation of geriatricians, geriatric nurses, physiotherapists, nutritionists, social workers, psychologists, gerontologists, nursing home physicians, and elderly care personnel. As well as the scientific advancement of geriatrics in our country, our objective is also to enhance social development and awareness of geriatrics; therefore, targeting that it should take the position entitled in health policies.
The objective of the association is to provide support to the members so as to allow them to achieve the highest standards of research, education, patient care, and treatment in geriatrics. Moreover, it seeks to facilitate the provision of scientific contributions for the members’ educational and academic studies. Additionally, our goals include organizing national/international congresses and seminars, publishing scientific publications, guides, and guidelines, collaborating with national and international scientific institutions, private and public organizations, and associations, providing consultancy/guidance to geriatrics-related institutions, and producing educational materials and projects to raise awareness in society.
